1.
To all the saints in Jesus Christ who sojourn now in Philippi Grace to you, Grace to you The peace from God our Father by the peace from our Lord Jesus Christ Come to you, Come to you I will thank my God in my remembrance of you Offering my prayers and rejoicing now in view Of your fellowship with Jesus in the Gospel now you strive In holiness and righteousness to tell the world of Christ Grace to you (Grace to you) Grace to you (Grace to you) Grace to you (Grace to you) Grace to you (Grace to you)
2.
If we are partakers of the grace of God in Christ Confirming and defending this, the Gospel with our lives We can trust in confidence that God has testified He will sanctify us until we are glorified We have confidence that when He begins His good work within all of His children That He will complete each one perfectly Until Christ the King reigns eternally Father, help our love reflect the love of Jesus Christ Strengthen our discernment to determine what is right Keep us single-minded with integrity in truth Help us walk in righteousness until we come to You We have confidence that when He begins His good work within all of His children That He will complete each one perfectly Until Christ the King reigns eternally For Your glory For Your Praise By Your love By Your grace Through the blood of Jesus Christ Make us holy, sanctified We have confidence that when He begins His good work within all of His children That He will complete each one perfectly Until Christ the King reigns eternally
3.
If we suffer persecution, if we face imprisonment If the arrogant despise us, we will stand in confidence For the Lord will not forsake us and His Gospel will advance Both in hardship and affluence we will strive with diligence Father give us courage. Father keep us pure In Jesus Christ our confidence is sure. We rejoice! We rejoice! Our deliverance is sure We rejoice! We rejoice! For the coming of our Lord Though the wolves from strife and envy use the Gospel for their gain Mesmerized by earthly treasure, deaf to what their lips proclaim Though the kings of earth may gather to contend against our Lord Christ, our sovereign God, derides them as His perfect will goes forth We rejoice! We rejoice! Our deliverance is sure We rejoice! We rejoice! For the coming of our Lord We rejoice though man may kill us We rejoice though Satan schemes We rejoice in trial and weakness We rejoice in suffering For our God is good and sovereign And His will is fixed and firm No authority can stop Him Every word has been confirmed We rejoice! We rejoice! Our deliverance is sure We rejoice! We rejoice! For the coming of our Lord We rejoice! We rejoice! We confirm our hope in Christ Be exalted if we live or if we die We rejoice!
4.
For me to live is Christ to die is gain For Jesus knows my pain and suffering If I am blessed to die I’ll be at home with Christ For me to live is Christ to die is gain Many things are given me to cherish in this life I am counting each and everything a loss compared to Christ To know and serve the Lord There’s nothing I want more I’ll lose it all that I might follow Christ For me to live is Christ to die is gain For Jesus knows my pain and suffering If I am blessed to die I’ll be at home with Christ For me to live is Christ to die is gain My home is now heaven so I eagerly await For Christ to come and change me from this wretched humble state Then I’ll be glorified Together with my Christ I pray you come and rescue me today For me to live is Christ to die is gain For Jesus knows my pain and suffering If I am blessed to die I’ll be at home with Christ For me to live is Christ to die is gain
5.
If I were to live another day of life on earth I know He would use it for all that it would be worth But if I were to pass away and sooner leave this place Beloved, how much better, to awake and see His face Everything within me longs to leave and be with Christ That is far, far better than remaining in this life But I know its essential to continue for your sake For your growth and consummation and your joy in the faith I will come to you my love, that your prayers may be fulfilled I will come to you my love, if it is the Father’s will I will come to you my love, for to me to live is Christ And if I am to carry on in life I will come to you So be sure to live life worthy of the Gospel of our King Standing firm in mind and spirit for the faith in unity For to you it has been granted to believe in Jesus Christ And to suffer for His Gospel and endure until you die Do not be alarmed by anything that you may face Your abiding courage is a sign that you are saved Do not fear, Beloved, for our Bridegroom loves His bride And soon He will consume our adversaries with His fire
6.
Since we have one mind and one spirit The church must preserve unity The love and compassion and Spirit of God compels us to humility The church must be heavenly-minded United in love by His grace Woven together in spirit and truth, determined in purpose by faith Do nothing from selfish ambition Do nothing from empty conceit With selfless regard and in pureness of heart, love others in humility Count others as greater in measure Be gentle and humble in heart Consider yourselves as the slaves of all men, willingly imitate God This is the heart of our Lord Jesus Christ Selfless, Humble, and Kind Though He encompassed the essence of God Fully, forever divine He never asserted His likeness with God But emptied Himself for a time Assuming the form of a slave and a man To willingly suffer and die Submitting Himself to His Father Forsaken, despised, and ashamed Now glorified at the Father’s right side, Exalted above every name All authority, power, and glory are bestowed on our Lord Jesus Christ To the glory of God, and the glory of Christ, for God is the most glorified This is the heart of our Lord Jesus Christ Selfless, Humble, and Kind Though He encompassed the essence of God Fully, forever divine He never asserted His likeness with God But emptied Himself for a time Assuming the form of a slave and a man To willingly suffer and die Every knee will bow Every tongue proclaim That Jesus Christ is Lord and God the everlasting King (King over everything) This is the heart of our Lord Jesus Christ Selfless, Humble, and Kind Though He encompassed the essence of God Fully, forever divine He never asserted His likeness with God But emptied Himself for a time Assuming the form of a slave and a man To willingly suffer and die
7.
Do everything without grumbling without arguing And prove yourselves the children of the Lord Do everything with all thankfulness with all faithfulness Be holy, blameless, innocent, and pure For the Lord is working in us to do His perfect will His Spirit will perfect us, His work will be fulfilled We will work out our salvation with fear and trembling We will run in perseverance and rejoice in suffering We will put away the old self and put on Jesus Christ Filled with His Holy Spirit, doing what is right Do everything with all purity with all unity For we appear as lights in this dark world Do everything with obedience in all truthfulness Holding fast the living holy word We will sing all glorious on the day that Christ returns We will reign victorious through this suffering endured For now we the church rejoice, oh we live and die for Christ For now we all share His joy so we surrender our lives
8.
We must be examples for the saints to emulate Walking in submission, and obedient in faith We must live courageous, loyal, faithful, holy lives Imitating Paul as he is imitating Christ We must all abandon our ambition for prestige Serving one another in concern for others needs Surrendering our freedom now to suffer in this life Imitating Timothy who imitated Christ We must show compassion for our brethren in the church Diligent submissiveness exhibits proven worth Surrendering our safety for the church we risk our lives Like Epaphorditus who was imitating Christ Rejoice, share the joy As we suffer for the Lord Rejoice, share the joy As we suffer for the Lord As those who walk before us, showing selfless sacrifice Whose hearts were fixed on heaven, who possessed eternal life We must die in service here denying selfish pride Following the footsteps of the ones who follow Christ
9.
Whatever things were gain to me I count them all as loss Compared to knowing Jesus Christ my accolades are dross Confessing my dependence and desire to know Him more In holiness and righteousness I strive to be conformed I am not yet perfect, but I am pressing on Forgetting all that lies behind and running toward the goal I’m pressing on towards the goal for the prize Of the upward call of God in Jesus Christ Let everyone who is mature and holy think this way In faith we must keep living by the standard we’ve attained We’re citizens of heaven we are chosen and redeemed We await our transformation at the coming of our King I am not yet perfect, but I am pressing on Forgetting all that lies behind and running toward the goal I’m pressing on, I’m pressing on, I’m pressing on, I’m pressing on (Conform me to the image of Your Son) I’m pressing on, I’m pressing on, I’m pressing on, I’m pressing on (Conform me to the image of Your Son)
10.
Beware of evil workers, beware of filthy dogs Beware of false believers who take the name of God But walk in sinful darkness as enemies of Christ Their end will be destruction, their god, their appetite Follow the example of the ones who follow Christ Striving in obedience to imitate His life Conform us to your image, through the power of your Word By the power of Your Spirit, and the Power of your church May our only true devotion be to live and die for Christ To abandon all our idolatry and forsake our very lives Discern the opposition whose glory is their shame Who set their mind on earthly lusts for temporary gain Disguised as righteous leaders, they subtlety deceive Misleading pure devotion through destructive heresy We are citizens of heaven and we eagerly await For our Lord and Savior Jesus to transform our humble state To conform us with His glory by the power given Him Our Creator, Shepherd, Master, King, Messiah, God, and Friend
11.
Rejoice in the Lord, Oh forever rejoice Rejoice Oh forever rejoice Rejoice in Christ Jesus, forever rejoice Rejoice Oh forever rejoice Beloved, my brethren, whom I long to see my joy, and my love, my reward Stand firm in Christ Jesus, live in harmony, together as one in the Lord Indeed true companions be quick to make peace when quarrels arise in the church Be gentle and patient in humility, the Lord leads and guides as He works Rejoice in the Lord, Oh forever rejoice Rejoice Oh forever rejoice Rejoice in Christ Jesus, forever rejoice Rejoice Oh forever rejoice Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer thank the Lord in the fight The peace of the Lord that transcends all belief will keep your heart settled in Christ Rejoice in the Lord, Oh forever rejoice Rejoice Oh forever rejoice Rejoice in Christ Jesus, forever rejoice Rejoice Oh forever rejoice Whatever is true, whatever is right, whatever is written in God’s Word of life Whatever is pure, whatever is true, whatever is lovely and of good repute Whatever is noble, whatever brings peace, whatever is excellent, dwell upon these This you have learned, seen and heard and received Now practice these things with the God of all peace Rejoice in the Lord, Oh forever rejoice Rejoice Oh forever rejoice Rejoice in Christ Jesus, forever rejoice Rejoice Oh forever rejoice

about

This album seeks to explain the letter to the Philippians musically, for the purpose of teaching, reproving, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Tim. 3:16). It is meant to accompany the Word of God, and never replace it. Immerse yourself in the Word of God, retain the standard, guard the treasure, divide the truth accurately. The songs will be a refreshing reminder of His truth.
